Clinic News Fight the Flu Saints! The best way to fight the flu this season is by getting the flu shot. The CDC recommends the flu vaccine as the most important step in protecting against the flu and its potentially serious complications. Frequent hand washing with soap and water, and reinforcing with your child the importance of covering their mouths when sneezing and coughing will help in the spread of germs. A good night sleep, nutritious breakfast and appropriate outdoor clothing ensures your child is off to a great start each and every day.

Speech Screenings Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) is partnering with the private schools in the division's jurisdiction to provide Child Find activities intended to locate, evaluate, and identify any child who may be suspected of having a disability as defined in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004. As part of the Child Find process, students in Kindergarten through third grade are "screened" using the VBCPS screening forms. General Education Teachers will be doing the "screening". If there are any concerns, your child's teacher will reach out to you.

Saint Gregory the Great Catholic School is AdvancED accredited and the Diocese of Richmond is AdvancED accredited as a school system.

AdvancED is the largest community of education professionals in the world. They are a non-profit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of Pre-K-12 schools and school systems to ensure that all learners realize their full potential. While their expertise is grounded in more than a hundred years of work in school accreditation, AdvancED is far from a typical accrediting agency. Their goal is not to certify that schools are good enough. Rather, their commitment is to help schools improve.
Combining the knowledge and expertise of a research institute, the skills of a management consulting firm and the passion of a grassroots movement for educational change, AdvancED serves as a trusted partner to 34,000 schools and school systems—employing more than four million educators and enrolling more than 20 million students—across the United States and 70 other nations.
