SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER
The Knights of Columbus St. Benedict Council 9056 is sponsoring their traditional Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at St. Gregory the Great Church on February 25, 2020 in Immaculata Hall from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Menu includes Pancakes, Bacon, Sausage, Fruit, Cereal, Milk, Coffee, Tea and Juice. Tickets will be sold at the door. Adults $5.00… Children 4 – 12 yrs. $3.00...Under 4 Free. Bring the family and enjoy some of the “lightest, best tasting pancakes this side of heaven.” Shrove Tuesday dates back to the Middle Ages when the day before Ash Wednesday marked the time of spiritual preparation centering on repentance and confession. Since Christians had to abstain from eating meat, fat, eggs and dairy products during the 40 days of Lent, pancakes were an easy way to use up many of the staples that otherwise would go bad during the Lenten fast. Bring family and friends and join brother Knights and the church community in enjoying a delicious pre-Lenten Pancake Supper feast in preparation for the Lenten Season.
and coaches are of all fitness levels. Visit
or email email@example.com for more information.
Please submit items for the Saints Weekly by Thursday at noon to Kristie Kimener at firstname.lastname@example.org.
